The Phantom 4038 is a 38mm clone of the NCR Phantom 4000.
Mike Fisher at Binder Designs took my original NCR rocket (it got toasted by a front seal blow-by) and created a mini-kit for this version. He made the centering rings, fins and cut the body tube, including fin slots, to match the original.
The rocket uses motor ejections. I attached the shock cord using a doubled lenght of 1/4" bungie cord with a Nerf ball attached to prevent a zipper at ejection. There is also 15 ft. of 9/16" tubular nylon attached. Revovery was by a 40" black chute, also supplied by Binder Designs.
